Orion Edge is an enterprise concept MVP for an AI-driven, software-defined RAN intelligence platform built using publicly available data. Across Sprints 1–3, the platform establishes a real-time intelligence foundation: live QoS inference, traffic classification, and congestion forecasting. Using synthetic and open datasets, Orion Edge demonstrates how AI models can predict KPI trajectories, quantify congestion risk, and surface actionable network insights at the edge — without requiring access to proprietary operator environments.
Sprints 4–6 introduce deterministic governance and agentic orchestration. Policy simulation, what-if modeling, and security resilience scoring are combined with a structured LLM proposal layer that generates recommendation candidates. Crucially, final decisions are verified by Orion’s deterministic scoring engine — ensuring explainable, auditable outcomes suitable for enterprise and telecom environments.
Sprints 7–8 extend the platform into cross-domain orchestration and global path intelligence. Orion Edge integrates SD-RAN, SD-WAN, and SASE intent modeling, and introduces RAN-aware traceroute attribution to distinguish between radio, transport, and upstream network effects. By fusing public telemetry, routing signals, and edge inference, the platform demonstrates a future-ready blueprint for intelligent, software-defined RAN operations.
